Mrs. Darja Radić, M.Sc. is a senior competitiveness specialist with 25 years of professional experience in the area of economics and entrepreneurship, competiveness and innovation strategies, policies and tourism with top level management experience in high profile private and public institutions.
As a minister and vice minister of the Economy in Slovenia (2008 – 2011) she was responsible in particular for competiveness, innovation and internationalization of Slovenian industry, tourism and energy, drafting and implementing competitiveness and innovation strategies, policy papers and programs, including designing and implementing of specific measures for promotion of entrepreneurship and competitiveness, improving the business environment, establishment of business incubators and technological parks, transfer of knowledge form research institutes to the industry, creation of new financial measures for supporting SME’s and especially start-ups (venture and mezzanine financing instruments) and internationalization of Slovenian industry.
Lately she was engaged in the development of centre of excellence for polymer materials and technologies in Slovenia. Currently she is a project manager at Automotive Cluster of Slovenia, leading several tasks of the Poly4EmI (polymers for emerging industries) project, supported by the EU Commission – CIP Clusters and Entrepreneurship in support of emerging industries.
She has extensive experiences in project management, monitoring and controlling of the projects, providing also training on projects management. She works as consultant within EU Region, SEE, Africa, Azerbaijan and Brazil. Mrs. Darja Radić holds the Bachelor degree on economics and Master of Science degree on economics.
